THE LEFT UNHINGED

RIGHT, LEFT AND 2 RECENT SHOOTERS

Lowell Ponte explains why Democratic Party will lose badly in 2020

WND, August 11, 2019  https://www.wnd.com/2019/08/right-left-and-2-recent-shooters/

Headline-seeking Democrat politicians and their comrades in the liberal-left media have unanimously and incessantly blamed President Donald Trump for recent shooter killings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio. The president, they claim, triggered both atrocities by being a “racist, a “white supremacist.”

Political and media demagogues, however, give few details about the Dayton shooter, now-deceased 24-year-old Connor Betts. As investigators put together the puzzle pieces of his writings and statements, Betts appears to have been a far-left radical, some days calling himself a Socialist and others a Communist.

Betts supported the neo-Marxist masked urban terrorist group Antifa and, like the son of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 running mate Senator Tim Kaine (D-Virginia), reportedly took part in Antifa-like leftist KKK-ish violence. Betts was also a Satanist. To paraphrase the late novelist Toni Morrison, Betts “displayed every trope” of today’s young radical Democrats.

The Dayton shooter was also an enthusiastic backer of both Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) and Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts). President Trump is being blamed for the “right wing” shooter in El Paso. Why, asks American Thinker pundit Monica Showalter, do we not likewise blame Elizabeth Warren for the “left wing” shooter in Dayton, who was largely radicalized by her hypnotic, emotional loony-left ideology?

Far from accepting her share of responsibility for this killer’s bloody violence, Warren instead cynically began using his shooting spree to smear Trump and raise funds for her campaign before the victims’ bodies were even cold.

To accuse the left of hypocrisy – to note that without double standards they would have no standards at all – may be appealing. But its fallacy in this case, I believe, is that the El Paso shooter was also a leftist, not a rightist.

The shooter, Patrick Wood Crusius, 21, is certainly a racist who says that he concentrated his gunfire on “Mexicans,” whom he saw as “invaders.” But racism is not a “right-wing” ideology. American conservatism believes in rugged individualism, in the unique worth of each person, regardless of race or other characteristics.

It is the left that “loves humanity” but despises individual human beings, who are to be led like sheep and used as cannon fodder.

Leftist ideology is collectivist, not individualist. You, as seen by leftists, are merely the intersection where your race, class, gender and gender preference cross paths. Leftists define you by which collective boxes or groups you fit into, and by how you serve the opposing ideological conflict – the left’s conformist divide-and-conquer social warfare – of white vs. black, bourgeois vs. proletariat, male vs. female, gay vs. straight.

As his “manifesto” makes clear, Crusius – the son of a mental health therapist – was motivated not only by racism, but also by opposition to capitalist corporations and radical environmentalism like leftist Unabomber Ted Kaczynski.

“[O]ur lifestyle is destroying the environment of our country,” Crusius writes. “Corporations are … shamelessly overharvesting resources. … [M]ost of y’all are just too stubborn to change. … So the next logical step is to decrease the number of people in America using resources. If we can get rid of enough people, then our way of life can become more sustainable.”

Both racism and radical environmentalism are collectivist ideologies embraced by the left, which relentlessly stokes racial fear and hatred to motivate its key voting blocs.

Before the Enlightenment and American Revolution, feudal collectivist thinking ruled Europe and its colonies. As Nobel laureate economist Friedrich Hayek explains in “The Road to Serfdom,” the reactionary ideologies of Socialism, Marxism, Nazism, and Fascism are trying to return us to feudalism. The only truly “progressive” idea remains free minds and free markets.

The left failed in its brazen attempt to remove President Trump by coup d’état. Its prospects of removing him by impeachment are zero. Democrat candidates competing to take the most extreme high-tax, low-liberty stances have reduced their 2020 election chances to near-zero.

The Democrats’ best hope for victory, says comedian Bill Maher, is to wreck Trump’s prosperous economy. China might have cooperated with this, and will not risk a deal with Trump until after their October 2019 gala party meeting celebrating the 70th birthday of Communist China. Leader for Life Xi Jinping might have waited to see if a Democrat replaces Trump in the 2020 election.

But the Democrats have behaved so crazily, arrogantly and anti-democratically that Trump’s reelection now seems inevitable. Xi will almost certainly cut a mutually-beneficial deal with Trump before our 2020 vote, cinching four more years of Trump success. The Democratic Party will be cast into the outer darkness it so richly deserves.
